キュレーターであり、ロンドン「Serpentine Galleries」のアーティスティック・ディレクターを務めるハンス・ウルリッヒ・オブリスト（Hans Ulrich Obrist）の作品集。本書は『Post-it notes』シリーズの一作であり、2025年7月現在、40万5,000人以上の「インスタグラム（Instagram）」フォロワー（現在も絶賛増加中）を誇る作者の継続的なソーシャルメディア・プロジェクトから抜粋した111点の手書きポストイット・メモを収録している。

制約がないことで知られるこのプロジェクトは、メモが載るゆったりとした贅沢な構成と「インスタグラム」の投稿のスピード感が融合した一冊に仕上がっており、世界で最も偉大な現代美術家たちの、その日1日で抱いた考え、夢、ドローイング、物思いにふけった時の言葉、ジョーク、引用、質問、答え、詩、洒落が書かれたポストイットをふんだんに集めている。2023年に出版された第1巻『REMEMBER TO DREAM!』に続き、本書もオランダ人グラフィックデザイナー、イルマ・ボーム（Irma Boom）が装丁を手がける。

タイトル「WISH YOU WERE HERE」は、2023年に惜しくもこの世を去ったアメリカ人アーティストポープ・L（Pope.L）のメモから引用している。

In this open-ended project, bringing together the slow composition of the handwritten note and the velocity of the Instagram post, Obrist collects an abundance of thoughts for the day, dreams, drawings, musings, jokes, quotations, questions, answers, poems and puns from some of the world’s greatest contemporary artists. Following the success of the first volume Remember to Dream! published in 2023, the book has once again been designed by award-winning book designer Irma Boom, who interprets each handwritten note to capture the character of its author with her ingenious and original typography.
