アメリカ人アーティスト、ウェイド・ガイトン（Wade Guyton）の作品集。作者にとって初となるフランスの美術館での展覧会を記録した一冊。2023年10月から2024年4月にかけて、「パリ市立近代美術館（Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris）」で開催された同展に伴い刊行された。
2022年、作者による「無題」（2013年）が「パリ市立近代美術館」のコレクションに加わった。これは非常に異例の寄贈であり、この絵画を起点にこの展覧会は企画された。2013年から2015年の間に制作された5点の絵画は、作者が黒という色に特別な関心を寄せていた短い期間を裏付ける作品群でもある。5点のうちの4点は、偶然黒のみで構成された同じPhotoshop形式ファイルからデザインされた。印刷されたイメージは、あらかじめ用意されていた空間の白と抗い合う。それぞれのキャンバスの中で、形と背景の間のあいまいな関係が、さらに広く見ると、作品とそれを収容する美術館の壁との不明瞭な関係が生まれる。

Catalogue dedicated to the series of paintings exhibited at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, Wade Guyton's first exhibition in a French museum.
In 2022, the piece Untitled (2013) was added to the Museum of Modern Art's collections, thanks to an exceptional donation. This painting was the starting point around which the exhibition—the artist's first in a French museum—took shape. Created between 2013 and 2015, the five paintings bear witness to a brief period during which Guyton took a particular interest in the colour black. Four of them were incidentally designed from the same Photoshop file composed exclusively of black: the printed image competes with white, its reserve space. An ambiguous relationship thus develops, within each canvas, between figure and background, and more broadly, between the artworks and the Museum's wall accommodating them.
The book features texts by Julia Garimoth and Stéphanie Moisdon.
