現代のフランス美術を代表するアーティスト、フィリップ・パレーノ（Philippe Parreno）の作品集。それぞれのページにタイトルがつけられ、切り離すことができる11種のイメージが収録されている。その一つ一つが、作者による芸術的提言の証となる。本作に収録されたイメージは蓄光インクで印刷されており、光を蓄積したあとに暗闇の中で見なければ姿を現さない。しかし、光の量は露光時間によって制限されるため、イメージは再び見えなくなってしまう運命にある。本作は、「Specific Object 2005 Award」受賞作である。

Fade to Black gathers eleven titled, detachable images. Each of them constitutes the testimony of an artistic proposal by Parreno. The images are printed with phosphorescent ink and must be exposed to light and afterwards browsed in the dark to become visible. However, the images are doomed to disappear again as the amount of light is limited to its time of exposure. Fade to Black is the winner of the Specific Object 2005 Award.
