イギリス人アーティスト、ハミッシュ・フルトン（Hamish Fulton）の作品集。1999年冬、現代美術センター「CCA北九州」に滞在していた際、作者は九州にある標高約1,200mの霊峰・英彦山において、7日間にわたり一日ごとの歩行を行った。展覧会のために、作者はその体験をもとにしたウォールテキストを制作している。本書はその主題をさらに発展させたものであり、1983年から1999年にかけて日本各地で行われた複数の歩行から生まれた写真、テキスト、ドローイングを収録している。

While staying at the CCA in the winter of 1999, the artist made seven one-day walks on Hikosan, a sacred hill in Kyushu. For his exhibition, Fulton created a wall text resulting in this experience. Higurashi expands upon this theme, in photographs, texts, and drawings resulting from a number of walks made from 1983 to 1999 throughout Japan. An exquisite production. In English and Japanese.
