日本人建築家の長谷川逸子の作品集。本書は、作者が初めて手がけた大型公共プロジェクト「藤沢市湘南台文化センターこども館＆市民シアター（Shonandai Cultural Center Children's Museum - Kanagawa）」（1990年）に焦点を当てている。

ベルギーのブリュッセルを拠点に活動する建築事務所、オフィス・ケルステン・ゲールス＆ダヴィッド・ファン・セーヴェレン（OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen）のケルステン・ゲールスが編集する「Everything」シリーズの一つである本書は、前作『EXCESS OF ARCHITECTURE』（アルド・ファン・アイク（Aldo van Eyck）とハニー・ファン・アイク（Hannie van Eyck）を特集した）に続く一作であり、今までありそうでなかった作品集に仕上がっている。

「湘南台」のプロジェクトは、モダニズムを「乗り越え」たいという世代の願望を、時代も場所も違えど1980年代の日本においても担っている。作者は、おそらく1980年代の日本でのみ可能な、最も型破りな方法で実現した。「湘南台」は、1960年代のテクノ・アヴァンギャルドが一巡する場所なのである。写真は、フォトグラファー、ヴィジュアルアーティストのステファノ・グラツィアーニ（Stefano Graziani）が手がける。

This book focuses solely on the Shonandai cultural centre, the first major public project of Itsuko Hasegawa. The latest Everything without Content publication is the unlikely successor to the previous books we made on the works of Aldo and Hannie van Eyck and Giancarlo de Carlo. Shonandai belongs to a different time —the 1980s— and a different place —Japan— but it shares the desire of the earlier generations to ‘overcome’ modernism. Hasegawa achieves this in the most outlandish way, possible perhaps only in Japan in the 1980s. Shonandai is where the 1960s techno-avant-garde comes full circle. The book features photographs by Stefano Graziani.
