Susan Rothenberg, renowned for her iconic horse paintings, is considered one of the key artists of Neo- Expressionism. This catalogue honours her groundbreaking role in the art history of the 20th century. With her works, Susan Rothenberg, who would have been 80 in 2025, paved the way from minimalist art to a new figurative expressionist era. Her oeuvre not only represents her individual vision, but also the development of Neo-Expressionism and the return to figuration in 1970s and 1980s art.
