イラン人フォトグラファー、ホダ・アフシャール（Hoda Afshar）の作品集。北のイランと南のオマーンに挟まれたホルムズ海峡の島々では、風が人に憑りつき、病や疫病を運んでくると信じられている。アフリカの国々でも同じような言い伝えがあることから、この考え方はアラブ人の奴隷貿易によって南東アフリカからイランにもたらされたのではないかと考えられている。この暗い歴史について語られることはほぼないが、本作では、風と風が島々やその住人に残した痕跡がベースとなっている。この複雑で美しい写真集は、自然の神秘を感じさせる風景、そこに住む人々と彼らの儀式を鋭敏な感覚と深い洞察で捉え、生まれたイメージを通じて、風と人の精神的な結びつきを描き出し、目に見えないものを目に見える記録に残そうとしている。

The existence of similar convictions in some African countries suggests that the cult may have been brought to Iran from southeast Africa through the Arab slave trade.
