コペンハーゲンを拠点に活動するアーティストでキュレーター、デイヴィッド・リズリー（David Risley）の作品集。

本書は、2020年のパンデミック下に制作された水彩画64点を収録する。

すべて同一の主題で、ロサンゼルスのカルバーシティにある銃砲店がロックダウン発表後に開店するのを待つ人々の列を描く。あの年に世界が劇的に変化するとともに、絵画も変化していった。BLMの抗議行動が始まると、デイヴィッドは丘に炎を描き加え、やがて銃砲店そのものが炎上した。それでも人々は列に並び続けた。

銃砲店のイメージはアメリカのイメージである。それは現実の変化に呼応して変化する。

ライターのリンジー・プレストン・ザッパス（Lindsay Preston Zappas）、シンガーソングライターで詩人のラビ・シフレ（Labi Siffre）、アートライターのウィリアム・ピム（William Pym）、アート批評家クリスチャン・ビベロス＝ファウネ（Christian Viveros-Fauné）によるテキストも収録する。

The paintings, all the same motif, of people waiting in line for the gun store to open in Culver City, LA, when lockdown was announced. As the world changed dramatically that year, the paintings changed as well. When BLM protests started David added flames to the hills, then the Gun Store itself caught fire. People still waiting in line.

The image of the Gun Store is an image of America. The image changes as it changes.
