ギリシャ人映画監督のヨルゴス・ランティモス（Yorgos Lanthimos）による作品集。ニューヨークを拠点とする独立系映画製作・配給会社「A24」より刊行された『Screenplay Collection』シリーズの第8弾。本書は、2016年に公開された映画『ロブスター（原題：The Lobster）』の脚本を収録した一冊。

本書は、『女王陛下のお気に入り』『哀れなるものたち』主演の女優エマ・ストーン（Emma Stone）が書き下ろした詩、作家のオテッサ・モシュフェグ（Ottessa Moshfegh）によるエッセイ、そして作者が撮影した舞台裏の写真を収録している。
