アメリカ人映画監督でプロデューサー、脚本家、女優、ファッションデザイナーであるソフィア・コッポラ（Sofia Coppola）の作品集。

作者は15歳の夏、実家のある北カリフォルニアを離れ、パリに拠点を構えるファッションブランド「シャネル（Chanel）」のスタジオでインターンシップに参加した。インターンシップの日々は、作者にとって忘れられないものとなった。この経験は、数十年にわたって目覚ましい発展を遂げ続けたシャネルと作者との関係の始まりであり、作者とシャネルは数々のコラボレーションを生み出していった。贅沢なしつらえで制作された本作は、我々を強く惹きつける一冊に仕上げられており、シャネルのオートクチュール・デザインの歴史を、作者の特徴であるコラージュやアッサンブラージュのスタイルを用いながら、「オーダーメイド」で創られたビジュアルで紹介している。

作者が近年刊行した作品集『ARCHIVE』（2023年）、『THE VIRGIN SUICIDES』（2025年）の装丁を担当した「ジョセフ・ローガン・デザイン」のグラフィックデザイナーであるアナマリア・モリス（Anamaria Morris）が本作のデザインを手がける。シャネルの協力のもと、「ÉDITIONS 7L」と「IMPORTANT FLOWERS」の共同刊行によって制作された。
