アメリカ人現代アーティスト、R.H.クエイトマン（R.H. Quaytman）の作品集。作者は、絵画という表現媒体が内包する知的かつ感情的な可能性に再び息を吹き込み、アップデートすることを試みてる最も優れた現代アーティストの一人である。ポーランドの都市ウッチに建つ美術館「Muzeum Sztuki」のために特別に企画された展覧会は、作者のコンセプチュアルな回顧展のようだった。継続的かつ進化し続ける作者のプロジェクトの中でも初期に制作されたチャプターの意味を自身で再考し、ウッチという場所と、ポーランド人彫刻家カタジナ・コブロ（Katarzyna Kobro）やポーランド人画家ヴワディスワフ・ストゥシェミンスキ（Wladyslaw Strzeminski）の作品と密接に関連するこの作品の原点に立ち返っていた。本展では、厳選した初期の作品に加え、新作絵画が披露された。作者は絵画を通じてポーランド人アーティストたちの作品と対話し続け、ウッチの美術館と自身との間の個人的な関係性の中にある、また別の側面を探求した。本書は「Muzeum Sztuki」で2019年から2020年に、ポルトのセラルヴェス財団の協力によりセラルヴェス現代美術館で2020年から2021年に開催された展覧会に伴い刊行された。ポーランド語と英語の二か国語表記で制作され、作者本人、展覧会のキュレーターを務めたヤロスラフ・スーチャン（Jaroslaw Suchan）、美術評論家でベルン美術館キュレーターのマルタ・ジワンスカ（Marta Dziewanska）のエッセイを収録。

R.H. Quaytman is one of the most outstanding contemporary artists attempting to revitalize and update the intellectual and emotional potential contained in the painting medium. The exhibition, prepared especially for the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, was a kind of conceptual retrospective, where the artist has re-read earlier Chapters of the constantly developed project, and returned to its origins closely related to Lodz and the works by Katarzyna Kobro and Wladyslaw Strzeminski. Apart from precisely selected works from earlier chapters, the exhibition has presented new paintings in which R.H. Quaytman continues her dialogue with the work of Polish artists and explores other aspects of her personal relationship with the Lodz museum. In cooperation with Fundação Serralves in Porto, the second edition of the exhibition is currently being prepared and is scheduled to open in October this year. The catalogue accompanying the exhibition is being prepared in bilingual, Polish-English, version, and contains essays written by the artist, a curator of the show, Jaroslaw Suchan, and Marta Dziewanska who is an art critic and curator in Kunstmuseum Bern.
