ニューヨーク市クイーンズ区、ロングアイランドシティを拠点とするアメリカ人フォトグラファー、ダニエル・シェア（Daniel Shea）の作品集。本書は2012年に自費出版で発表された「Blisner, Ⅲ」の架空の続編としてまとめられ、それぞれ2008年よりイリノイ州・シカゴに拠点を移した作者が、重化学工業衰退により荒廃した現地の様子をドキュメントしたものである。タイトルの「Blisner」は作者によって設定された架空の町の名前であり、イリノイ州（IL）の歴史の提示として地域と密着しながら捉えられた作品が収められている。

Blisner, IL is both a new edition and a pseudo-sequel to Blisner, Ill. A self-published photobook by Daniel Shea exploring processes of deindustrialisation in the Rust Belt of America. This new edition will still explore the industrial history and post-industrial fallout of the once prosperous Southern Illinois town, but will frame its predecessor, Blisner, Ill., as a historical document from which to draw information at the present day site. Blisner, IL will contain expanded and new work.
