本書では、パフォーマンス・アートを代表する二人の傑出した人物を、12年にわたる共同制作のあらゆる局面、そして二人の共有した生活とラディカルな芸術を通して追う。書簡、写真、新たに依頼された論考が、二人の倫理、親密さ、そして危うさを明らかにする。二人が作品を通して探究したテーマを概観するとともに、写真、書簡、個人的なメモ、録音、音楽リスト、書籍といったアーカイヴ資料の紹介に重点を置いて展開される。
