スイス人アーティスト・デュオ、タイヨ・オノラト & ニコ・クレブス（Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs）の作品集。現像するだけでポジ像が得られるという特殊印画紙「ダイレクト・ポジティブ・ペーパー」を使用し、自身で制作したものや拾って来たものまで様々なオブジェを被写体に2009年に彼らのスタジオで撮影された作品がまとめられている。1分以上露光させて撮ることで普通では捉えられないような流動的な像が生まれ、このアナログな手法の素晴らしさを再認識させようとする意識に加え、小説家が物語を描くその過程は重要なように、ポジ紙に直接写すその過程自体が写真家にとっても重要なことであることを示す作品となっている。カメラの性質や機能、写真の役割に対する探究心が彼ら特有のユーモアで存分に表現されている。

In this anthology, Swiss artist duo Taiyo Onorato and Nico Krebs developed photos of adopted articles and personal creations as their subjects taken in a studio on 2009. They used special type of photograph printing paper called the direct positive paper is used to achieve positive images. And through this unconventional method of taking long exposure photos (for more than a minute), they bring a fresh new perspective on analog photography as they emphasize on directly duplicating their subjects on positive paper in the same way novelists see the importance of creating an image of the scenarios when they tell their stories. Their photos feature their sense of humor, their keen interest on the stories behind each photo, and the possibilities that can be created by a camera.
