スイスの高級リゾート地、サンモリッツに毎年1人のアーティストを迎え、滞在制作した作品を元に作品集を発表する年刊式プロジェクト『SOUVENIR』。第4号は、イギリス人ファッションフォトグラファー、デヴィッド・ シムズ（David Sims）とイギリス人アーティスト、ジェイク・チャップマン（Jake Chapman）。

デヴィッド・ シムズは、1966年にイギリス・イングランド中部の工業都市として有名なシェフィールドに生まれ、1990年代初頭に『The Face』や『i-D』、『Vogue』などのファッション & カルチャー誌で名を馳せた。フォトグラファーのロバート・エルドマン（Robert Erdmann）、ノーマン・ワトソン（Norman Watson）のアシスタントを経て、写真エージェンシー「M.A.P.」に所属し、様々な媒体で活躍。「アレクサンダー・マックイーン（Alexander McQueen）」、「バレンシアガ（Balenciaga）」、「カルバン・クライン（Calvin Klein）」、「ジル・サンダー（Jil Sander）」、「ヨウジヤマモト（Yohji Yamamoto）などの広告ヴィジュアルなどをこれまでに手掛けている。

イアコボス・”ジェイク”・チャップマンとコンスタンティノス・”ディノス”・チャップマンは、ロンドン出身のアーティスト・デュオであり、 通称「チャップマン・ブラザーズ」と呼ばれる。1990年、ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートを卒業し、ギルバート＆ジョージ（Gilbert & George）のアシスタントを経て、兄弟ユニットとして制作活動を開始。チャップマンは、ダミアン・ハースト（Damien Hirst）、トレイシー・エミン（Tracey Emin）、サラ・ルーカス（Sara Lucas）など「ヤング・ブリティッシュ・アーティスト（Young British Artists、略称YBA）」と呼ばれる、1990年代初頭に一躍有名になったイギリスの若手アーティスト群の一人である。2008年には、アドルフ・ヒトラーの水彩画の購入し、ヒッピー・カルチャーのモチーフをその絵に加筆した作品を発表するなど、意図的に過激な題材を扱うことが多い。2022年、ジェイク・チャップマンの個展「Me, Myself and Eye」の発表に伴い、チャップマン・ブラザーズとしての活動に終止符を打ったことが公表された。

David Sims (born 1966) is a British fashion photographer who first made his name in the early 1990s with magazines such as The Face and i-D. Sims was born in Sheffield. He worked first as a photographer's assistant with Robert Erdmann and Norman Watson. He was taken on by a photography agency and his work began to feature in editorial pages of magazines such as i-D, The Face and Vogue. He has also worked in advertising, creating images for brands such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Jil Sander and Yohji Yamamoto.

Iakovos "Jake" Chapman (born 1966) and Konstantinos "Dinos" Chapman (born 1962) are British visual artists, often known as the Chapman Brothers. Their subject matter tries to be deliberately shocking, including, in 2008, a series of works that appropriated original watercolours by Adolf Hitler. In 2022, with the announcement of Jake Chapman's solo show Me, Myself and Eye, it was disclosed that the Chapman brothers had ended their professional association.
