FREE PLAY by Antony Cairns [SIGNED]

ロンドンを拠点とするイギリス人フォトグラファー、アントニー・ケアンズ（Antony Cairns）の作品集。本作は、2023年5月にロンドンの「テート・モダン（Tate Modern）」で開催されたブックフェア「OFFPRINT LONDON 2023」のブースの一つとして出展していた、同じくロンドンの出版社「MÖREL」の企画で制作された。

本作は、即興性と現場での偶然性をテーマとしたプロジェクトであり、「ライブ・ブックメイキング・ステーション」と銘打ち、その場で本を制作することで、本作りのプロセスを解き明かすことを目的として企画された。作者が日本を旅した際に撮影されたモノクロ写真のシリーズ作品を使用してその場で印刷、製本している。

MÖREL’s live book-making station at Offprint. MÖREL presented the project « FREE PLAY » by the artist Antony Cairns at Offprint London at Tate Modern, in May 2023. « FREE PLAY » is a project about improvisation and spontaneity that aims to demystify the bookmaking process. The publication presents a series of black and white photos taken during the artist’s trip through Japan.
