CORRESPONDANCE BRANCUSI DUCHAMP by Constantin Brancusi, Marcel Duchamp

The discretion of Brancusi, who did not show up in social gatherings, preferring to welcome his friends to his studio, and that of Duchamp, who never publicly evoked his ties with him, made us forget the friendship that united them. It was known that Marcel Duchamp had opened the doors of the American art market to the Romanian sculptor, and that he had found a financial interest in it, but we did not know the solid understanding that could exist, despite such different approaches. between these two artists who have marked the twentieth century. The correspondence brought together and presented by Doïna Lemny offers a new light on this relationship remained long unknown.
