ドイツ人アーティスト、ハンク・シュミット・イン・デル・ベーク（Hank Schmidt in der Beek）の作品集。2020年7月から8月にかけてミュンヘンの「Christine Mayer Gallery」、2021年12月から2022年2月にかけてブラウンシュヴァイクのアートセンター「Kunstverein Braunschweig」で開催された展覧会に伴い刊行された。

2017年に初版が刊行され、以降再版を繰り返し現在第三版（2024年）まで刊行されている作者の名作『Und im Sommer tu ich malen』に続き、本作でも作者は自身が最も美しいと思うセーターを身に纏い絵を描いた。今回は、「フュルスト・ピュックラー・アイス（Fürst Pückler Eis）」模様のセーターを選んでいる。「フュルスト・ピュックラー・アイス」は、「ピュックラー侯爵のアイスクリーム」の意味を持ち、チョコ・バニラ・イチゴ味のアイスをワッフルで挟んだドイツの定番商品である。前回は屋外で制作を行ったが、打って変わって本作では自身のスタジオの中で取り組んだ。そしてこんなことを考える。

「仮に、カジミール・マレーヴィチ（Kazimir Malevich）の『黒の正方形』の上に、ストロベリー・バニラ・チョコレートの美しいフュルスト・ピュックラー・アートのブラウスを着せたとしたら。絵画の歴史上のこちら側で起きてきたことすべて、向こう側で起こってきたことすべて、そして同じく向こう側でこれから起こるであろうことすべて、それらの間に存在する核である「芸術の出発点」を大いに発動し、この小さな介入を試みることは、美術史上に残った空白の部分にどのような影響を与えるだろうか？なんとも言い難い。試してみるしかない！」

作者は、『黒の正方形』に最も近い環境から出発してみた。1915年、構成主義的な絵画が無対象芸術の世界に向かう旅へと帆を張った、部屋の東の角、つまりペトログラードで開催された「最後の未来派展, 0-10」におけるマレーヴィチが展覧した空間である。

本書は、二箇所の会場で展覧した26点のフュルスト・ピュックラー絵画を収録する。展覧会では、1915年に『黒の正方形』を含む作品が「最後の未来派展, 0-10」で展示されていた時を再現するように、部屋の角を中心として26点の絵画作品が並べられている。

As he did for his last Edition Taube book (the red-checked painting classic „Und im Sommer tu ich malen“) this time Hank Schmidt in der Beek has put on again his most beautiful sweaters to paint. This time it is his Fürst Pückler sweater and he paints not outdoors, but indoors in his studio, where he pursued the following thought: Let’s assume that one would also put a beautiful strawberry-vanilla-chocolate Fürst-Pückler-Art blouse over Kazimir Malevich’s Black Square on a White Background. How would this small intervention at the much-invoked “zero point of art”, the nucleus between everything that has happened in the history of painting on this side and everything that has happened and will happen beyond it, affect the rest of art history? Hard to say. One has to try it out!

Hank has made a beginning in the closest environment of the “Black Square”—there in the eastern upper corner in 1915 where the constructi-vist painting set the main sails on its journey into the non-objective world: in the Malevich Room of the last Futurist exhibition of the Painting “0.10” in the Chudoschestwennoje bjuro in Petrograd.

We are pleased to publish the result as the new Edition Taube artists’ book: 26 Fürst Pückler paintings, which were initially exhibited in summer 2020 at Christine Mayer Gallery in Munich and from December 2021 to February 2022 at Kunstverein Braunschweig.
