ドイツ人アーティスト、ユリウス・ハイネマン（Julius Heinemann）の作品集。本作は彫刻であり、記憶であり、重さである。何枚ものシートによって一つにまとめられている物体である。512ページから成り、黒鉛（グラファイト）、つまり鉛筆の痕跡がある。今、ここで成された行為と反復は、表現であると同時に印象であり、書くこと、読むこと、見ること、そして記憶することによる身体的な体験なのである。ドローイングはいかなる計画にも支配されず、ただ衝動にのみ従う。描かれる過程は、現在と過去が持つ直線性を溶かしていく。故に、安定したイメージや信頼性はない。その代わりに、絶え間なく変化している状態がそこにはある。本書は、「実際に存在していること」とその「存在感」、そして時間と他者に対して我々が持つ主観的な理解にまつわる考察である。

本書のタイトルである「クロノスとカイロス」はどちらも時を表し、クロノスが時計で測れるような「客観的な時」、カイロスは機会や瞬間など「主観的な時」を指す。

“Chronos & Kairos” is sculpture, memory and weight - a body held together by its sheets. The book consists of 512 pages with traces of graphite. Actions and repetitions in the here and now are expression and impression at the same time - a physical experience of writing, reading, seeing and of remembering. The drawing is not subject to any plan, only to the impulse. The process depicted dissolves the linearity of present and past. Thus there is no stable image, no reliability - instead there is a state of constant change. “Chronos & Kairos” is a reflection on presence and existence and our subjective understanding of time and the other.
