ZEICHNUNGEN / DRAWINGS 1960-2002 by Richard Artschwager

アメリカ人アーティスト、リチャード・アーシュワーガー（Richard Artschwager）の作品集。2003年3月から2004年1月にかけて、スイスの「ヴィンタートゥール美術館（Kunstmuseum Winterthur）」、ドイツ、クレーフェルトの美術館「Kunstmuseen Krefeld」、「ミュンヘン州立版画素描館（Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München）」で開催された巡回展に伴い刊行された。

作者にとって、ドローイングは絵画や彫刻とは異なる、より親密で伝統的な表現形式であった。そのため作者は1960年代以降、木炭や墨汁（インディアンインク）を用いた数多くのドローイングを制作してきた。

本書は、40年以上にわたる作者のドローイング作品を幅広く紹介する一冊である。ディーター・シュヴァルツ（Dieter Schwarz）とミヒャエル・ゼムフ（Michael Semff）によるテキストでは、作者のドローイングにおける主題や技法、そしてその作品がどのように受け止められてきたのかについて考察している。

For the American painter and sculptor Richard Artschwager drawing is an especially intimate and traditional form of art, other than painting or sculpting. That is why since the 60ies he has created various drawings with charcoal and indian ink.

The selections in this catalogue give an extensive overview on more than four decades of Artschwager's work. The texts by Dieter Schwarz and Michael Semff, throw light on the subjects of Artschwager's drawings, his techniques and the reactions on his work.
