Before a book, paper tucked into covers, it was a tree and even before that a network of command lines that put together an interactive web in virtual space. These manifestations and any other future form that this work may take pursue a single objective: its incarnation through reading.

This book is a tribute to that way of living the editorial profession and to all the trees that make it possible.
