DANČE DELUXE by Olaf Nicolai, Mariana Pende
ドイツ人アーティスト、オラフ・ニコライ（Olaf Nicolai）とクロアチア人アーティスト、マリアナ・ペンデ（Mariana Pende）による作品集。
両者によるコラボレーションプロジェクト「Danče Deluxe」。本作は、アドリア海に面したクロアチア南部の港湾都市ドゥブロヴニクにおいて、地元の人々が長年親しんできた海水浴場「ダンチェ・ビーチ」へのオマージュとして構想された。
ダンチェ・ビーチは、観光地として知られる旧市街とは異なり、世代を超えた住民の日常や夏の屋外生活が重なり合う、地域に根ざした場所である。本書には、2023年にクロアチアの首都ザグレブの文化施設「メシュトロヴィッチ・パヴィリオン（Meštrović-Pavillon）」で開催された共同展において再構成された、ダンチェ・ビーチの架空の建築空間の断片が収録されている。現実の記憶と想像的構築が重なり合うその構成を通じて、場所が内包する時間と共同性の層が静かに浮かび上がる。
The collaboration Danče Deluxe between the German artist Olaf Nicolai and the Dubrovnik based sculptor Mariana Pende is an homage to one of the last refuges of the local Dubrovnik population – the Danče Beach – a meeting place of generations and summer outdoor life. The publication features fragments of the imaginary architectural space of Danče Beach that was reenacted 2023 in a joint exhibition at Meštrović-Pavillon in Zagreb.
