In Volume III we focus on how we make sense of our world through art and how being surrounded by art enriches our lives. From their Berlin home, artist Anselm Reyle and architect Tanja Lincke talk about how building amid ruins helped them rediscover creative freedom. In Paris we meet the couple behind fashion brand Zadig & Voltaire whose art-filled home is imbued with their effortless style while in Milan we visit the apartment that is part private base, part project for the visionary co-founder of design firm Studiopepe and her photographer husband. In Helsinki we meet a couple whose life revolves around their remarkable collection of contemporary art and Finnish design. Star Danish architect and designer David Thulstrup reveals his latest residential project, a Copenhagen attic apartment inspired by his interiors of Noma restaurant. A photo essay by fashion photographer Henrik Bülow, run as a special 16-page insert, interprets the Bauhaus through the lens of fashion photography and still life. Exploring ephemerality and light a second insert showcases the beguiling art of Ann Veronica Janssens; stylist Pernille Vest uses transparent materials to express floating forms and Studio Oliver Gustav is the setting for a dialogue with the master of Nordic light, artist Vilhelm Hammershøi.
