パリを拠点に活動する映像作家とフォトグラファーのデュオ「Julia et Vincent」の作品集。2人は約10年前に出会い、5年前より共同制作をしている（2020年現在）。本作は、1980年代の美意識にインスピレーションを受けたスタイルを試みている。「全てが前向きで、気ままで、美しさが最も大事なものであった」時代を懐かしみ、レトロなコードやサテンの服を少しと、バイクに乗った裸体、絶妙なぼかし効果などで遊んでいる。しかし下品なセクシーコレクションを作ったり、特定の美学を単純にコピー＆ペーストするのではなく、2人はこの美しさを現代化しようとしているのである。

Her name is Julia, his name is Vincent. They met almost 10 years ago, and have been creating together for 5 years. ‘Erotish’ is an exercise in style, inspired by the aesthetics of the 1980s. Nostalgic for a time when “everything seemed positive, carefree, and where aesthetics were the priority”, the photographers play with retro codes, a few clothes in satin, naked bodies on motorcycles, a subtle blurry effect… But far from producing a vulgar sexy collection, or merely copy and pasting a certain aesthetic, the duo reclaims to modernize this aesthetic.
