本書は、クィア理論を専門とするアメリカ人批評家、作家のジャック・ハルバースタム（Jack Halberstam）とAI研究者のマレー・シャナハン（Murray Shanahan）によるエッセイを収録している。さらに、スコットランド人漫画家、イラストレーターのジョック（Jock）によるコンセプトアートも掲載する。
