ロシア・モスクワを拠点とするファッション・デザイナー、写真家、映像作家ゴーシャ・ルブチンスキー（Gosha Rubchinskiy）の作品集。閉ざされた約300 年もの時を経て、一般市民が楽しむことのできる文化的スペースとして再開発されることになったサンクトペテルブルグにあるNew Holland 島内の小さなギャラリースペースでスタートしたプロジェクトの中で撮影されたスケーター少年たちの写真と、サンクトペテルブルグ市内で撮影した写真や彼のアートワークを組み合わせ、編集したものとなっている。

Gosha Rubchinskiy is a fashion designer, photographer and film maker, makes an elegant sportswear inspired by the romance of the youth, Russian religious roots and the clash between the Russian post-soviet mentality and growing up in the country undergoing huge political, economical and cultural change after dissolution of the USSR in 1991. Everything Gosha does is about multimedia. He designs his collections, photographs them, casts models and produces his lookbooks and seasonal fanzines. It's his way to create his own world, to build his ideology as a whole. In summer 2011, artist Gosha Rubchinskiy launched the project TRANSFIGURATION - a modest gallery space attached to a photography workshop and skateboard bowl. TRANSFIGURATION is located in Saint Petersburg on the island of New Holland, which has just opened its door to the public for the first time in the 300 years of its history. Rubchinskiy's space is part of a larger project of rejuvenating life on the island. It is designed as a temporary summertime cultural hub, geared toward young artists. TRANSFIGURATION has hosted a series of events such as exhibitions, live shows and skateboarding competitions. "TRANSFIGURATION BOOK" is the photo part of this TRANSFIGURATION project.
